About Melissa (She/Her)
​

​   Originally from Paris, France; Melissa came to the US to study Musical Theatre at AMDA NY and is now a Green Card holder based in New York City for good.

    Melissa is a fun and versatile actor, mainly performing in stage productions of straight plays and musicals. With the pandemic, Melissa expanded her areas of work: Short films, notably Ernaline in which she played the lead character; Voiceover: Melissa is part of the sci-fi podcast Starcrossed and French dubbing for international  corporate companies.

   Most recently, Melissa performed at the Tank, in NYC in March 2022 for the stage production of #SoSadSoSexy, directed by Simha Toledano.

​A short list of things Melissa is passionate about:

• All things History (yes, even that boring Netflix documentary) and plays that focus on making historical events feel relevant today;
• Language and its quirks: weird, forgotten expressions and accents that make eyebrows raise and interest peak;
• Poking fun at the world, herself and French people;
• Musicals in which the music sets the environment and culture for the show (e.g. Hunchback of Notre Dame, Ragtime, In The Heights);
• Stylized and over-the-top characters that make you dive in a world of absurdity;​
• Immigration stories from all eras and countries, Melissa's family tree being one immigration story after another
